Announcement – The last deadline for editing the accepted papers to be published in proceeding of the conference
The 7th national and 1st international conference on electronic commerce and economy is going to be held by Iranian scientific association on 19, 20 &21 May 2013. Seyed Hossein Paryab, the director general of e-government development office in ministry of industry, mine and trade, the secretary general of Iranian e-commerce scientific association and the secretary general of the 7th national and 1st international on electronic commerce and economy, on a conversation with the reporter of Daneshjoo online, talked about these types of conferences and said that the first sparks of holding such conferences was emitted in 2010. There have been remarkable activates on electronic commerce and economy but unfortunately there were little efficiency. Our understanding was that two main reasons existed. Parallel working and decentralized activities of related organizations.So, we decided to move in direction of developing a comprehensive roadmap to prevent the occurrence of these problems. We want to move toward to the desired state.For this purpose, 314 meetings have been held with representatives of public and private sectors. Therefore, in order to engage all sectors and institutions, both public and private and to provide the required infrastructures for development of electronic commerce and economy, we decided to arrange a national conference, different from the previous 5 conferences on electronic commerce. He said that the seven main topics of conference includes policies and prospect,security and trust, technical and communication, law and legal, training and human skills, economic and commercial (including e-banking, exchange,insurance, customs, tax and e-logistic) and application and innovation which is the main weakness of country on e-commerce. He added that regarding the 7 mentioned topics, 7 symposiums were held on the first quarter of 2012. The main achievement of these symposiums was a conference held on May 2012 which aimed at summation of achievements of the 7 symposiums. In these conferences, the obstacles and difficulties and the guidelines for development of electronic commerce and economy were discussed and reviewed. The main achievement of these conferences was Iran electronic commerce and economy development roadmap which is going to be unveiled in the seventh conference (19, 20 &21 May 2013). The secretary general of the seventh national and first international conference on electronic commerce and economy also talked about the achievements of previous conferences and said that the bests on electronic commerce will be honored. He added that for the first time, the national medal of electronic commerce and economy will be awarded to up to 3 people. Concerning the appreciation of bests on electronic commerce and economy, he said that some criteria has been considered including papers, thesis, projects and activities which has been done and sent to secretariat of Iranian e-commerce scientific association. Also some indicators such as quality and quantity, applicability and the extent of impacted areas in the country are of other criteria. Mr.Paryab said that based on the planning has been made, for the first time the national medal of electronic commerce and economy will be awarded to up to three people on the basis of the specialized-scientific secretariat opinion. He added, in order to promote the scientific level of researches, a car will be awarded to the best paper. He emphasized on the important role of universities in development of electronic commerce and suggested five guidelines to accelerate the growth of these entities: Training specialized forces on ICT in country, training instructors in country which leads to decrease the immigration of elites, reconsideration of academic content of ICT courses, reconsidering the current courses and starting up complementary education based on different needs of country. It's worth to mention that universities of Tehran, Sharif, Imam hossein, Shahed,Shiraz, Islamic azad, Yazd, Tarbiat modarres, Maleke ashtar, Alzahra, Kerman Bahonar,Tehran medical science, Tabriz and Tabarestan higher education institute, and also computer and Iran transportation rail road associations etc. will be the scientific sponsors of conference.
